God's Favour

Two weeks of my holidays have passed.

The Action Song competition was held this morning at SJK(C) Sin Hwa. Six teams took part, including Ai Chun 2.

Together with my sister and brother, I started helping my mum with the action song the moment I came back from KL. My mum had chosen a song, so I picked one more and my sis the other. We joined the songs and thought of the dancing steps. Not easy though. But we prayed.

The costume gave us a lot of trouble. We went from shop to shop in search of an appropriate costume. Finally a few days before the competition we decided on the red "musical look" dress we found at Soun Thye Fashion. We took four sample sizes for the students to try on the next day. Guess what, even the largest size, which I would define enormous, couldn't fit four of the students -.-

We were running out of time, so the teachers-in-charge, including my mum, dug out some old uniforms which belonged to my seniors, which they used in the choir team during their time. I knew it because I recognized one of their names. Imagine how long ago it is, when my seniors were still as young as these kids.

We decided that we will look for a better costume should we win.

Waiting for the carnival to start.

And so the game began!

The kids performed quite well, even though they didn't manage to practice at all in the morning before they went on stage. I accidentally put one more Chinese fan on stage, so in utmost embarrassment I saw one fell from the hand of Xin Ni lol.

Never imagined that one day I'll attend as a "teacher" and not a participant.

We waited bitterly for the panel to announce the results. The weather was so hot, and they took such a long time that some of the kids fell asleep. How I wished I could sleep like them, haha.

My mum lost confidence when they announced the 3rd and 2nd places, because there was one team we thought performed well and yet wasn't one of the runner-ups. But just as I believed, Ai Chun 2 turned out to be the champion! God's favour was on us :D

The officers wanted to see the performance by the first runner-up and the champion team, which will both represent SJK to compete with SK. Some of the kids' fluffy decorations had fallen off, so we had to ask them to "terminate" all the decorations, what a waste hahahaha.

My mum and I with the kids.

Enjoying themselves at Witchery Ider after a tiring morning.

The next round will be held soon. With faith we'll give another good shot!

Glory be to God :)

My Holiday Job

So busy lately with my mum's job, lol. I'm helping out with the Action Song 2012 competition for the Year 3 students which is coming up this Saturday.

Now I'm gonna explode thinking about their costume. RM60, ask the students to fork out that sum? It's a little ridiculous that their parents have to spend money after nodding their heads to their children's participation. If I'm rich, I'll come out with the money myself, save the trouble and pressure. Yaya, if I'm rich, hehehe.

It's a tedious job, time-consuming, and unpaid; but it'll be worthwhile if they win and make it through the next round. And the kids are cute...... sometimes XD God be with us! :D

Music Never Sleeps

I'm falling in love with Jason Chen's singing!

His voice is so pure, he sang "Set Fire to The Rain" well, and I enjoyed his duet with another singer, Sharon Kwan in the song "被风吹过的夏天".

The remix "Love The Way You Lie/Not Afraid" is totally amusing, and the rapping part is my favorite. It goes like this:

Lately I've been dealin with haters
And people sayin I'll never make it
But I just use it as fuel to my heart
To keep improving
Race will never be the reason I'm not succeeding
nor will I ever sell myself short I’ll get what I'm deservin
Cuz I've put in my heart, and I've put in my soul
And I've always believed, that I would make it this far

 We salute you, Jason Chen!

I think he might have wrote the lyrics out of his very own heart. It's meaningful. Beautiful voice, what a gift! :)

You'll Always Find Your Way Back Home

Thursday, I went for Wendy's talent show at Taylor's College. Before that, Jia Lin, Wen Qi, E-Chuen, Anlynn and I yum cha at Snowflakes. We were talking halfway when E-Chuen suddenly yelled:" 全部爱群二校的," pointing towards Anlynn :"你走开!"

The air froze.

Catch no ball.

LAUGH DIE ME!!! We were talking about something else when she made the statement, wrong timing lah hahaha!

1M Class of Ai Chun 2/2000

But we did have a thing in common, we were all formerly students of 1M class Ai Chun 2/2000, hehehe. Cheers girls! It's so amazing that we're still in contact after we've all grown up.

The weather was hot and we felt sticky before the show started. Should have bathed the second time before I came T.T

The torn part gave the ticket some kind of effect.

Like what I did during Shio Yee's Songwriters' Night, I took out the camera only when I saw Wendy on stage, haha. Wendy was so so small on stage, or maybe we sat too far. I had to zoom in the camera to capture her photo, lol.

Nice performance Wendy! ;)

I was going back to my hometown that night, so I didn't get to catch up with her after that. Guess she'll be busy too though. Before I left, I tried the very infamous burger at The Burger Shop that I used to see people mention on Facebook. It tasted good! Almost like the Ramly burger near UCSI, my college :D

Finally, I'm going home going home going home!! ALL ABOARD!!! Here we go!

You can change your hair you can change your clothes
You can change your mind that's just the way it goes
You can say goodbye and you can say hello
But you'll always find your way back home

You can change your style you can change your jeans
You can learn to fly and you chase your dreams
You can laugh and cry but everybody knows
You'll always find your way BACK HOME!

Farewell FIS, Goodbye Angkasa

Finally I have time to update my "lonely" blog, the fact is no one knows I have a blog yet. The reason why I'm here is simple -- it's a homework given by our Computing Essentials lecturer, haha! She wanted us to open a blog each, "threatening" that she'll check on us, in the end?? She didn't even bother to ask us about it -.-

Back on the topic. On Wednesday, I had some fun hanging around with my housemate, Sze Yin, the supreme highness (or so she calls herself). We went for the Chilli Pan Mee near KL Central with my sister and a very busy-on-the-phone boy first. We were waiting half patiently (the other half was because we were too hungry) to be served. But apparently there were so many other customers, and there were only two persons preparing the food. I was observing the boss, marveled at his patience for having to work with only one maid despite having so many things to do.

I respect him for his diligence at his job :)

We window-shopped at Sunway Pyramid. Walking into Apple shop, a mini ipod caught my sight, because it was so small! Ok lah I admit I'm a bit of a suagu sometimes.

It feels awesomely awesome to see your name on an advanced gadget.
Mind you, my name is more prominent than the artists' name! XD

As it was Baskin Robbin's pink day, and my housemate was wearing pink, as usual, she got excited and bought two scoops of ice-cream, which we shared. She's really a food lover, while I eat to live, she lives to eat, hahaha.

Mint with chocolate chips and blueberry yoghurt

Around evening, we waited for Jia Hui to pick us up, we were going to party away! The sun was setting, and I started taking pictures, again XD

And so, the party began!! As if getting food burnt is typical on a barbeque party, it did happened, hahaha. Not mine though, I'm more skilled (actually I was too lazy to do it myself, so I left Sze Yin to do it for me). The part I enjoyed the most was when we all sat down outside of the house, talking about things we saw or experienced throughout our foundation year. We roared into peals of laughter upon hearing that some of the boys in class made a remark saying they were busy entertaining girls because there were so many girls in class and the boys were the minority. How thick-skinned to  say that! Well, I'm gonna miss all my classmates, though I don't know all of them. I FAILED as an interactor! Shame on me.

Happy holidays dear friends! Thanks for the wonderful times together :)

I'll miss those times at 22-08. I'll miss the sunset here, the night view, my housemates.

Goodbye, Angkasa 22-08!

Farewell FIS, Goodbye Angkasa

I'm so tired after having fun the whole day, I'll tell my story when I get back to BP hehehe. Home town I'm coming!! So many things to carry tomorrow T.T

This will be my last night at Angkasa, I mean for my foundation year, haha. But WHY??!! Why the last memory that you give me comes with cockroach??! Aww that's okay, I threw it off from the 22nd floor.

Unleashed

Finally, my foundation year has come to an end, yay!! How time flies, and I know I'm growing older each day, a fact that most people, including me, find hard to accept T.T

It's a year of tears and joy, of course. No journey is smooth right? Even if there is, at the end of the journey I'll grow old with an immature mindset, an even harder fact for me to accept, muahahaha.

Talk about my Calculus papers today, WHY?? Why do I always complicate simple questions?! I was just ONE step away to finding the answer, yes, ONE-- if I multiplied ln x by 1, then I would have been on the right track.
Ruby why you think so far?!! It's as easy as 123, you screwed it up T.T This is what people call "脱裤子放屁", hahaha! Ok enough said, exam is over and WHY am I still talking about it? Eww.. Just pray.

Sometimes it's exactly the same with life. We're faced with problems, and solving it is just one step away. But we go round and round and tend to make things complicated. The solution can be simple, just take it easy and you'll find your way out. :)

I was following Charmaine's blog just now. In other words, I was stalking her! *evil laugh*
Maybe Blogger should just list "followers" as "stalkers".
Reading her blog brought me back my high school memories, and I sure laughed away when I tried to picture those times.
I remember clearly how I used to slumber in class, Biology class, usually, during high school.
What you sow you will reap. I didn't get A+ for Biology, hahaha. Give me a break lah.. I was just trying to prove this idiom, seriously.

I really miss my secondary school friends! :(
"We had joy, we had fun, we had season in the sun."
Our庆功宴, sounds grand? But it was actually our celebration whenever exam was over :P
We had "twitter@bumi" column on the board, where we shared our funny ideas. And then there was Vivian, who was so so enthusiastic with her daily lyrics. Susin doesn't twitter, she prefers to bicker -- with me! XP

Hope all of you are going on well with life, remember our 2020 gathering :P
